FORENSIC DRUG ANALYSIS
Forensic Science Consultants is licensed to handle DEA controlled substances (Schedules 1, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5). Qualitative drug analysis at FSC is performed following SWGDRUG guidelines with confirmatory testing via Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and/or Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). We also perform re-weighing of controlled substances on properly calibrated and certified analytical balances. We are also equipped to perform quantitative analysis of most controlled substances.

The laboratory director and principal forensic scientist at FSC, Christopher Bommarito was honored by the Criminalistics Section of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences during the 2016 annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV with the most prestigious award bestowed by the AAFS Criminalistics Section. The Paul L. Kirk Award is bestowed upon a person, living or dead, who’s service has resulted in marked improvement in the quality, recognition, or acceptance of criminalistics or forensic science.
